Bone Cancer Diagnosis:

Bone cancer are diagnosed by using the following test:

  • X-ray: Doctor use the X-ray image of affected area to diagnose the bone cancer.

  • Bone scan: Bone scan provide a better quality of image than x-ray that show the bone cancer.

  • MRI scan (Magnetic Resonance Imaging): This technology use a magnet and radio waves to draw the image of the internal parts of our body. Cancer develoing inside the bones can be seen by using the MRI sacn.

  • Biopsy: In this test doctor take the tissue by using a long needle under the local anaesthesia from the body and sent to a laboratory for testing. This procedure is called needle biopsy.

    If doctor do an surgery to take the tissue called surgical biopsy.

  • Further tests: If any one diagnosed with bone cancer, he/she will requre more test to check the stage and location of bone cancer such as CT (computerised tomography) scan
