Kidney Cancer Treatment:

Treatment of kidney cancer depend on the kind of kidney cancer, health status of patient and how much cancer has spread.

Surgery:

Most common treatment of kidney cancer is surgery. We further divide the surgery in two categories:

Nephrectomy: In this surgery doctor remove the affected kidney with adrenal gland and lymph nodes. Surgeon make a large cut on skin to remove the kidney or doctor used laparoscopy method to remove the kidney.
Nephron-Sparing Surgery: In this surgery doctor remove the tumor from the kidney. This surgery is used if patient have only one kidney or pateint have diagnosed in early stage cancer.

Non-Surgical Treatment:

If surgery is not possible for any patient then they have following options:

Embolization: Blocking blood flow to the tumor is called embolization. In this treatment doctor inject a special drug in main blood vessel. Tumor deprived of oxygen and nutrients by clogging the vessel. Embolization also have side effects such as nausea, vomiting, or pain.
Cryoablation: If the tumor can not be remove through the surgery then cryoablation may be very useful to treat the kidney cancer. In this treatment doctor inserted a special needles into the skin and into the tumor. Gas in the needle create cold around the needle to freeze the cells. Doctor ovserved on the CT scan screen that all the cancrous cells have been frozen. After the frozel of cells another gas in needles create warmth and thaw the frozen cancerous cells. This process repeated many times. Repeatition of this process will die the cancerous cells. This treatment have some sideeffect such as bleeding, infection and damage of tissue surrounding the tumor
